The story this way:
The story begins when there is a snake that makes a hole close to where he lived in a terrace house one of the locals, who then bite a baby boy homeowner and result in very serious injuries that lead to death. The man who was grieving over this loss, decided to kill the snake.
The next day the man was waiting near the hole, until when the snake came out to look for food, he immediately swung an ax trying to chop a snake body. But being too hasty he was missed, he just cut the tail and not the head.
After some time passed, he began to worry, he's afraid if this snake will bite him back anyway, and for the sake of trying to reconcile the situation he was put bread and salt in the snake pit.
Seeing this, the snake said: "From now on there will not be peace between us, because when I see you, I will remember about my tail is broken, and while when you see me, you will think about the death of your son."

It means that an error has menimpah forgive us even though it was painful, let God's reply to other people's mistakes.
Be thankful for the calamity menimpah us, so that we can feel the peace.
